• Fluorescein angiography. With this type of test, your doctor will use a specialized dye that can detect your blood circulation. When this happens, they can determine if you have any problems with your blood vessels. 

• Amsler grid. Your doctor may choose to have you look at an Amsler grid. By looking at this, they may be able to detect certain areas in your vision that are blurry or have you make note of areas where there are blank spots. 
• Tonometry. This test helps to measure the pressure level in your eyes. If you have too much pressure, it can damage the nerve fibers that are in your eye. If this is the case, it is possible that high pressure could lead you to become blind.
